Neoen acknowledges the Wiradjuri people, Traditional Owners of the land on which Culcairn Solar Farm will harvest and store the energy of the sun. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

FOR YOUR COMMUNITY

Culcairn Solar Farm will bring a range of benefits to Culcairn and surrounding areas.

EXPECTED BENEFITS FOR NEW SOUTH WALES

In June 2020, Aurecon undertook an economic impact assessment of the expected economic benefits the project would deliver for New South Wales and, in particular, the region of Riverina Murray.

COMMUNITY BENEFITS PROGRAM

We believe in sharing the benefits of renewable energies with the communities we operate in.

We expect to contribute $10 million to the communities over the life time of the project in a number of ways.

The Community Benefits Sharing Program will provide significant, meaningful benefits to communities around the Culcairn Solar Farm.

CONSTRUCTION DISRUPTION PAYMENT
Payment made to qualifying neighbours at the start of construction
COMMUNITY BENEFIT FUND

We will allocate $150,000 per year to support local community projects in different growth areas. This funding will be available through an open and competitive grants process.

VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTIONS
We will allocate $150,000 per year towards the Voluntary Planning Agreement with the Greater Hume Shire Council.

ECONOMIC BENEFITS

We project a $400-500 million infrastructure investment during the lifetime of the project.

During construction, we estimate around 400 jobs will be created with an economic boost for local accommodation and service sectors.

Register your interest or sign up for updates on upcoming jobs during construction.
