Our solar farm is now operating at its full capacity of 440 MWp / 350 MW AC. This is Neoen’s second largest solar asset globally and one of the biggest ones in New South Wales.

Built in less than 2 years with 600 workers at peak construction (152 FTE), using innovative panel-mounting technology, we are proud to have delivered this asset on time in collaboration with Bouygues Construction Australia, Equans Solar & Storage, Lumea, Transgrid and a number of contractors & workers from the Riverina region.

Our 760,000 panels will now produce ~800,000 MWh of clean energy every year, which is enough to power about 160,000 homes annually. This will make a direct contribution to NSW’s target of reducing carbon emissions by 50% by 2030.

Neoen is proud to have achieved this milestone ahead of the start of our Power Purchase Agreement with energy retailer, SmartestEnergy. Culcairn will help them meet their retail demand (from households and businesses in the National Electricity Market) by supplying 50% of the solar farm’s output over the next four years.

We celebrated this occasion with our host landowners and key members from the project team as well as the local community on 6th May at the Culcairn Bowling Club.
