Construction update Feb 2025
Construction is progressing well on site with multiple activities nearing completion. We are thankful to the support and hard work of our project team which included over 600 skilled workers during the ‘peak’ construction period in December 2024.
We are on track to supply the first solar electrons into NSW’s electricity network by mid-2025. Some key updates and achievements include:
- 100% of piles (98,000 total) have been installed successfully in the ground across the project site
- installation of the PV tracking structure is ~95% complete
- 25% of the inverter stations have been installed
- 85% of PV panels have arrived on site and more than 50% (over 350,000 panels) have already been installed
- 85% of underground cables have been installed across the site
- Substation works are progressing well, and
- we expect our transformers to be delivered to site this month!
Additionally, we are proud to share that:
- 10 new trainees have been enrolled into jobs through a dedicated mentoring program being run by our construction team and contractors.
- more than 40 First Nations apprentices and trainees were recruited to work on the solar farm thanks to the dedicated support from our local First Nations Participation Officer and our First Nations Advisor.
